January 28, 2012 Time Trial  7-10 a.m.

Friday, Feb 3 - Silvertips/Kodiaks workout moved to 4:30-6:30pm

Saturday, Feb 4 - All groups off due to Polar Games

Friday, Feb 24th (Rendezvous) - SilverTips 8-10am and normal afternoon workouts for everyone

March Break (Sat. March 3 to Sat. March 17 inclusive):
Teddy/Cubs/Brown/Black Bears/Masters are off for the two weeks 
Polar Bears/Kodiaks/Silvertips are off for the first week and back in the water on Monday, March 12.

Easter weekend - Good Friday April 6 - SilverTips swim 8-10am and normal afternoon. 
Sat April 7th - practices as usual
Sunday, April 8th - off
Monday, April  9th -  off


Yukon Invitational Meet - Friday, April 27 & Sat. April 28 & end of season for Teddy Bears, Cubs, Brown Bears & Black Bears.

Call for Volunteers:
Response has been great - positions have been filled.  Thanks!  For those helping to set-up, please be at the pool side door at 6:30 a.m.  For the rest, the front doors of the CGC open at 7 a.m. with the warm-up scheduled to start soon thereafter.

IF you have not signed up for all your dates to complete your bingo commitment to the club this season, please call our Bingo Coor. Chrissy Campbell before 8:30 pm week days to set up dates. We have 37 Sundays to choose from!! Otherwise, the club charges your VISA $150.00 for each bingo not worked.  You can also ask Chrissy for the names of some swimmers who might be happy to work your bingo for a minimum of $60, paid directly by you to the swimmer.

IF you plan to attend the AA's BC Championships in Chilliwack, BC (Feb. 10-12) OR the Dino Cup swim meet in Calgary, AB (March 17 & 18), then PLEASE SIGN UP on the WGB bulletin board on the deck! Complete the WGB Travel Assistance form and hand in before travel to either of these meets to collect $$ from the club for travel.

No WGB Coach will travel to the Haines Winter Games swim meet at the end of January - the majority of our swimmers want to participate in the WGB Time Trial set for Sat. Jan. 28th from 7 am until 10 am.

 


SwimBC compiled a list of Top10 rankings for each age group: 11&12, 13&14, 15-17, as well as Top25 Open Age.  A list of the Top50 FINA-point swims from the Winter 2011 Short Course season (to Dec. 15th) is also included.  Congratulations to Mackenzie Downing, Haley Braga and Dannica Nelson who have made the top tier!
