The Glacier Bears Swim Club offers a variety of programs. The structure of the club’s program allows flexibility so that an athlete can participate in the sport of swimming at a level of competency and commitment corresponding to their desire and skill.
| Teddy Bears | Teddy Bears is a pre-competitive program for young swimmers ages 5-6 years. Learn the FUNdamentals of competitive swimming. Training Schedule |
| Cubs | This is the entry level of the club. The focus is for swimmers to learn about competitive swimming skills and strokes. Children entering this level should be able to swim at least one length of the pool. Training Schedule |
| Black Bears | Swimmers in this group should be familiar with all strokes and strive to demonstrate proficiency in each. The emphasis of the program lies in making a good stroke better, plus introduction to the training of the energy systems. Training Schedule |
| Polar Bears | Swimmers in this group should be familiar with all strokes and strive to demonstrate proficiency in each. The emphasis of the program lies in making a good stroke better, plus introduction to the training of the energy systems. Training Schedule |
| Kodiaks | Kodiak swimmers are striving to make provincial qualifying times in all events/distances. Emphasis of the program is on commitment, racing technique, and self-discipline. Enhanced training of the energy systems, stretching, dry-land training, strength training, and psychological training are involved in goal attainment. | Silver Tips | Silver Tips train 16& hours/week. The workouts include flexibility and strength exercises as part of 'dry-land' training. Athletes have opportunities to compete in Alaska, B.C., Alberta and occasionally the rest of Canada. Training Schedule |
